Awards Presented at the PBL National Fall Leadership Conference (NFLC)

Membership criteria is based on the October 20th deadline. (Note: dues must be received by October 20).

The following awards are calculated automatically:

  • Largest Local Chapter

  • Largest Local Chapter Membership—Professional Division (by affiliation)

  • Largest State Chapter

  • Largest Increase in State Chapter Membership

  • State Recruitment of Chapters (may be FBLA, FBLA-Middle Level, or PBL)

  • Largest State Chapter Membership—Professional Division (by affiliation)


Awards Presented at the PBL National Leadership Conference (NLC)

Membership criteria is based on the April 15th deadline. (Note: dues must be received by April 15).

The following awards are calculated automatically:

  • Largest Local Chapter Membership—top two (2) local chapters in each region and one (1) national winner

  • Largest Local Chapter Membership—Professional Division (by affiliation)—top (2) local chapters in each region and one (1) national winner

  • Largest State Chapter—top two (2) state chapters in each region and one (1) national winner

  • Largest Increase in State Chapter Membership—top two (2) state chapters in each region and one (1) national winner

  • State Recruitment of Chapters—top two (2) state chapters in each region and one (1) national winner

  • Largest State Chapter Membership, Professional Division (by affiliation)—top two (2) state chapters in each region and one (1) national winner


PBL Chapter Awards

100 Percent Class Participation

Awarded to local PBL chapters that recruit 100% of a single class as chapter members. A copy of the class roster must be submitted along with a copy of your chapter’s membership list. Winning chapters receive a certificate of recognition in the mail. Local chapter advisers are encouraged to present this chapter award to the chapter president at a local PBL ceremony or at a school awards assembly. Deadline: April 1. Apply.

Membership Achievement Award

Awarded to local PBL chapters that increase local chapter membership over last year’s total. Winning chapters receive a certificate of recognition in the mail. Local chapter advisers are encouraged to present this chapter award to the chapter president at a local PBL end-of-the-year banquet or at a school awards assembly. Deadline: April 1Apply.

Super Sweeps

PBL chapters must complete ten tasks focused on recruitment and retention. All members of successful chapters who attend the National Fall Leadership Conference and/or National Leadership Conference will receive ribbons. Dates: August 1–October 20.

Non-Stop November

PBL chapters must complete five tasks focused on membership involvement. Tasks include March of Dimes Prematurity Awareness Month and American Enterprise Day. All members of successful chapters that attend the National Leadership Conference will receive ribbons. Dates: November 1December 10.

Action Awareness

PBL chapters must complete four tasks focused on PBL awareness. Tasks include FBLA-PBL Week, CTSO Month, and America Saves. All members of successful chapters who attend the National Leadership Conference will receive ribbons. Dates: January 1March 1.

Chapter Challenge: Complete Super Sweeps, Non-Stop November, and Action Awareness

National Leadership Conference attendees of chapters that complete all three programs—Super Sweeps, Non-Stop November, and Action Awareness—will receive a pin at the conference. Chapters will receive a certificate of recognition at the National Leadership Conference.

PBL Outstanding Chapter

PBL chapters must complete twelve (12) membership, community service, and education activities. Deadline: April 1Register.


Individual Awards and Recognition

Membership Madness

PBL members who recruit at least five (5) new members receive a certificate of recognition and are recognized on the national Website. Local chapter advisers are encouraged to present this award to winning members at a local PBL ceremony, meeting, or event. Deadline: April 1Apply.

Membership Mania

PBL members who recruit at least ten (10) new members receive a certificate of recognition and are recognized on the national Website. Local chapter advisers are encouraged to present this award to winning members at a local PBL ceremony, meeting, or event. Deadline: April 1Apply.

Career and Membership Achievement Program (CMAP)

The Career and Membership Achievement Program (CMAP) is a comprehensive leadership development program for college students. It utilizes PBL projects, goals, and programs to help college students develop their leadership and job skills, with a special emphasis on career development and preparation for the world of work. Members complete three integrated levels: DirectorExecutive, and President.
