The members of the CR FBLA chapter have partnered with the Linus Foundation, an organization that gives handmade blankets to needy or sick children. Chapter members have been busy creating and coloring blocks that will be pieced into quilts for children. The chapter also hosted a booth at the elementary school’s Fall Fiesta, where elementary students were able to participate and create a block for the quilts. Blankets created included quilts, an afghan, and tied fleece blankets.  Twenty blankets have been completed and donated. Another blanket making day is scheduled for Community Service Day, February 13, 2010. Community members, FBLA members, and parents have all participated in this project.
