Stroudsburg FBLA puts leadership in action
Stroudsburg High School FBLA in Pennsylvania has been planning and implementing a number of happenings for this year. On Oct. 11, members made their way to Pleasant Valley High School for the Regional Leadership Conference. Pleasant Valley hosted the event, while Stroudsburg assisted in running it. The officer team from Stroudsburg held their own workshop session in which trust and leadership skills were taught and strengthened. The conference went off without a hitch and was enjoyed by the many that attended.
Along with all of the various fund-raisers, Stroudsburg FBLA is also getting involved with community service. From Dec. 3–6, Stroudsburg FBLA members collected money for the Salvation Army Kettle Drive. Stroudsburg hopes to be able to make a large contribution to the Salvation Army when the Kettle Drive is complete. On Dec. 8, Stroudsburg FBLA hosted Breakfast with Santa. This event is put on annually by Stroudsburg FBLA to benefit the children in the area. Kids pour into the Stroudsburg High School cafeteria annually for the celebration. They can get their picture taken with Santa and enjoy a breakfast of pancakes amid cries of delight.
