Passionately PINK for the Cure

Brentsville District High School (BDHS) FBLA in Virginia celebrated Breast Cancer awareness throughout the month of October. FBLA members put Passionately PINK for the Cure posters throughout the school, showing how the staff and students could stylishly pose with pink. On Oct. 23, student and teachers wore all pink in order to make the public aware of the risks of breast cancer.

The FBLA chapter also raised money for breast cancer awareness by allowing teachers to wear jeans everyday, with a price of $5.00 per day, during the month. FBLA members also collected money during lunch for awareness month. After school, students sold chocolate cookies with pink M & Ms in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The FBLA chapter’s team goal was to raise $500, but in the end, $552 was raised by the students and teachers at BDHS. Teachers were given Passionately PINK for the Cure pins for their participation.
